Celebrated Nigerian afro-beat singer and songwriter – Burna Boy finally bags his first GRAMMY Award.
Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album formerly known as Best World Music Album for ‘Twice As Tall‘ at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards. He beat Antibalas by Fu Chronicles, Agora by Bebel Gilberto and other to bag home the plaque.
Burna Boy is the latest African to bag home a GRAMMY Award following the likes of Owuor Arunga, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Soweto Gospel Choir, Tinariwen, Angélique Kidjo, Ali Farka Touré, Wouter Kellerman, Kevin Olusola and Youssou Ndour whom he featured on his album.
The 2021 GRAMMY Awards ceremony was premiered aired live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, March 14 at 8:00 p.m.
