Nollywood filmmaker cum politician, Desmond Elliot has taken to his social media page to share photos of the makeshift handwash which he constructed for his constituency in a move to strengthen the fight against coronavirus.
The seasoned actor noted that the cleansing mechanism will help passersby to wash their hands with soap and water and also sanitize before entering the streets.
In his words;
“So we constructed a makeshift cleansing mechanism, where passerby’s or people entering streets could wash their hands with soap and water and also sanitize before entering the streets -pilot works can be seen in these areas.
It was located across the environments. Olodeokuta, Ojuelegbe both sides, love garding, Hugan Bassy, Masha bus stop, Shirts bus stop, Adelabu, Iponri, Bode Thomas and ishaga road”

In other news, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has advised people to use contactless technology instead of cash as banknotes may be spreading coronavirus.
The infectious COVID-19 virus could be carried on the surface of banknotes for several days, the WHO warned.
