Singer Harrysong calls on President Buhari to invest in the education sector

The coronavirus pandemic seems to have given Nigerian citizens more insight into the rot in the various sectors of the country.

From healthcare to education, security, governance, and others, citizens are lamenting about the complacency of the leaders in dealing with these sectors.

Taking to his page on the photo-sharing app, Instagram, musician Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly called Harrysong has written an open letter to the president about this.

However, out of the many sectors, Harrysong is focused on one as he thinks that it will solve some of the issues in the economy of the country.

In his open letter posted online, Harrysong told President Muhammadu Buhari to invest in the education sector. According to him, it is never too late to make the necessary positive changes that the sector needs.

The singer went on to advise the presidency to start paying students. He stated that the country needs brains that would help to sustain the nation’s economy. The music star also advised the president to stop borrowing.

It was earlier reported that the Senate gave accelerated approval to Buhari’s fresh N850bn loan request. It was reported that the loan would be used to fund projects in the 2020 budget.

Reacting to the N850bn loan approval, Harrysong said that he is scared.
