Teni: I Don’t Compose Songs With Pen And Paper

 

When fans listen to the songs of music artiste, Teniola Apata, better known as Teni The Entertainer, they would probably assume that she must have sat down with pen and paper to compose them. However, the chubby singer has revealed that she cannot be caught with a pen and paper when composing her songs.

The Jo crooner who calls herself the ‘One take god’ stated this at listening party for her anticipated debut album. She said, “You would never catch me with a pen and paper when it comes to songwriting. Pen and paper works for some people but for me, it is just too serious.”

On what music means to her, “Music is knowing who one is and where one is coming from. It is about the things we have been through as a people.”

Though the year has been slow for some artistes, Teni released an Extended Play album titled, Quarantine Playlist, to get her fans through the lock-down declared to curb the spread of COVID-19. She was also featured on ace Fuji singer, K1 De Ultimate’s EP, Fuji the Sound’
